3D AREOLA RESTORATION

Areola restoration is a service for breast cancer survivors who need their areolas restored after mastectomy surgery. Our customized service creates realistic, 3D results that restore the areola to a natural and beautiful state. It is recommended to wait 6 months from the last surgery and to be finished with all treatment before tattooing

AREOLA PRE CARE RESPONSIBILITIES​​

Proper pre care is an essential part of optimal healing. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please follow our recommended pre care agenda.

4 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT STOP THE FOLLOWING

  • Facials

  • Chemical peels

  • Microdermabrasion

  • Laser treatments

  • Antibiotics

  • Anti-aging products

  • Anti-acne products

  • Surgery of any kind

  • Tanning of any kind

2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT STOP THE FOLLOWING

  • Waxing

  • Tinting of brow hair

  • Spray tanning

72 HOURS BEFORE STOP THE FOLLOWING

No blood thinning supplements or medications such as Ibuprofen, NSAIDS, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E unless medically necessary.

48 HOURS BEFORE STOP THE FOLLOWING

  • Alcohol

  • Caffeine

 

DAY OF APPOINTMENT STOP THE FOLLOWING

  • Working out (pores will be open)

  • Caffeine

 

AREOLA POST CARE RESPONSIBILITIES

​

For 2 weeks avoid:

  • Soaps, cleansers and water. Wash around the area

  • Moisturizers, skin creams, or makeup

  • Picking and touching

  • Sun and tanning beds

  • Chlorine pools, Jacuzzis and saunas

  • Hot, steamy, long showers. Keep your back to the showerhead.

  • All aloe products

If you are not allergic or sensitive to band-aid / tegaderm film adhesive, follow these instructions:  

 

  • Leave tegaderm film applied after appointment for 7 days. If you notice fluid is building inside the film, remove it in the shower. Rinse the tattoo gently, pat dry and apply a small amount of ointment. Cover with a new tegaderm patch. Do not leave the tattoo open to air for more than 15 minutes.

  • Remove film in shower on the 7th day.

  • Apply ointment morning and night for days 7-14. Apply saran wrap (lightly) if necessary

If you are allergic or sensitive to band-aid / tegaderm film adhesive, follow the instructions below:

​

For 7 days:

  • Wash the areola morning and night with sterile / bottled water. After rinsing, apply ointment and cover lightly with

  • saran wrap. (This stops the areola from drying out)

  • Apply ointment when showering / bathing, remove with tissue afterwards and reapply a new light layer.

  • Do not pick or pull at the color, it may heal patchy.​

Remember:

  • Do not be alarmed by the color of the areola, the final color cannot be judged for at least 4 weeks. Additionally, do not be alarmed by the color coming off when applying ointment.

  • Seek medical attention if you see any signs of extreme redness or pus.

  • Remember all medical procedures need to be completed in a minimum of two treatments.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your appointment. Areola Restoration is $350 per areola.
